ENVIRON ACTIVITIES IN ENERGY CONSERVATION
IN E.T.P. / S.T.P./ C.E.T.P.

Global Warming being a very live issue of concern world over & to control Global Warming, every one in the world are trying to adopt the effective methods for reducing the same. There are many different solutions in the world, by adopting the same we can definitely reduce the Global Warming & can help in maintaining the balance in nature. It is our duty to see that resources being consumed from the Environment does not recede it’s capacity in providing our requirements. So, we all have to protect these resources at any cost for our future generations & to save our mother EARTH. We all must be more careful in returning the obligation of nature by adopting all the possible methods in preserving its originality.

One of the most important method in saving the GLOBAL WARMING is ENERGY CONSERVATION. We all are aware that ENERGY is the most important part of everybody’s life. The life of each & every person in the world without ENERGY is very complicated. There are many new technologies in the world which are innovated for saving in ENERGY. It is our duty to adopt the New Technologies for reducing the consumption in ENERGY.

Mr. C.B. Thakore – Director of ENVIRON ENGINEERING COMPANY, VADODARA, having a very valuable experience in the field of manufacturing COMMON EFFLUENT / EFFLUENT TREATMENT / SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT MACHINERIES. He is basically R&D Engineer having a rich experience & devoted thirty years of his life in this field & had travelled throughout India and visited various EFFLUENT / COMMON EFFLUENT / SEWEAGE TREATMENT PLANTS & had given valuable solutions for eliminating the problems in Plants.

He has gone for the OXYGEN TRANSFER TESTING FACILITY right at the time of inception of the company’s formation FIRST TIME in India for AERATORS upto 150HP capacity in his own manufacturing unit at ENVIRON ENGINEERING COMPANY, 864/3/B, G.I.D.C. Industrial Estate, Makarpura, VADODARA, which has manufactured & offered the OXYGEN TRANSFER TEST for 100HP AERATORS to M/s. AUROBINDO PHARMA LTD., VIZAG Unit, FIRST TIME in India.

In his view, in any Treatment Plant the highest Energy is consumed in AERATION SYSTEM, to save the Energy in AERATION SYSTEM he had done lot of R&D in his testing facility and had developed an ENERGY EFFICIENT AERATORS.

As per his experience, apart from OXYGEN TRANSFER, thorough mixing of the Effluent / Sewage is a must in any Aeration System due to which there is no settlement of the bacterial mass sludge at the bottom & hence the required BOD & COD reductions can be achieved efficiently.

The Energy Efficient Aerators developed by him takes care of better mixing upto 4.5Mtr Water Depth of Aeration Tank apart from OXYGEN TRANSFER due to which the BEST RESULTS in AERATION SYSTEM can be achieved.

He has done the ENERGY AUDITING IN MANY OF THE Industries and had also supplied & installed successfully the ENERGY EFFICIENT AERATORS to many of the EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANTS achieving the BEST RESULTS with saving of handsome amount of Energy in these Existing Plants. Few examples of the achievements of Energy Saving are :-

ACHIEVEMENTS IN ENERGY CONSERVATION :

1) At M/s. BALLARPUR INDUSTRIES LTD. (BILT- PAPER MILLS), YAMUNANAGAR, (THAPAR GROUP), we have submitted our Energy Auditing Report suggesting reduction of the power from existing 10 Nos. of 75HP AERATORS to 10 Nos. of 20HP "ENVIRON" make AERATORS. On studying the report they have given us first order for 4 Nos. 20HP AERATORS on trial basis. After observing the performance of the installed 4 Nos. 20HP Aerators, they have repeated the order for 6 Nos. 20HP AERATORS and saved the ENERGY of 550HP in their existing AERATION SYSTEM.

2) At M/s. BALLARPUR INDUSTRIES LTD. (BILT- PAPER MILLS), BHIGWAN (PUNE), we have submitted our Energy Auditing Report suggesting reduction of the power from existing 8 Nos. of 50HP AERATORS to 8 Nos. of 20HP “ENVIRON” make AERATORS. On studying the report they have given us first order for 1 No. 20HP AERATORS on trial basis. After observing the performance they will place order for further quantities stagewise. Thus they will save Total ENERGY of 240HP in their existing AERATION SYSTEM.

3) At M/s. HINDUSTAN NEWSPRINT LTD., KOTTAYAM (KERALA), we have carried out Energy Auditing Report and installed 4 Nos. of ENERGY EFFICIENT AERATORS against their EXISTING 4 Nos. of 75HP AERATORS ON TRIAL BASIS in January, 2006 & had succeeded in achieving the required results at M/s. HNL- KOTTAYAM. They are placing stagewise orders to replace all 16 Nos. of existing 75HP Aerators by our 16 Nos. of 25HP Aerators. Recently, we have installed another 2 Nos. of 25HP FLOATING TYPE SLOW SPEED AERATORS on 11.07.2008. We would be reducing Horse Power of 16 Nos. of 75HP Aerators to 16Nos. of 25HP Aerators i.e. There will be saving of Total Energy of 800 HP.

4) At M/s. PATTANCHERU ENVIRO TECH LTD., PATANCHERU (A.P.), we have installed 16 Nos. of 30HP “ENVIRON” ENERGY EFFICIENT FLOATING TYPE SLOW SPEED AERATORS & they are achieving the BEST required results as per the Norms of APPCB & saving in the cost of Liquid Oxygen, which they were injecting previously. They have stopped injecting liquid O2 & saved total Liquid Oxygen of Rupees Fifteen Lacs per month.

5) M/S. DOMBIVILI BETTER ENVIRONMENT SYSTEM ASSOCIATION (C.E.T.P.) - DOMBIVILI. The FIRST successful C.E.T.P. with required results by M.P.C.B. of Maharashtra, having the Aeration depth of 4.5M. One of the successful achievements of ENVIRON.

Formerly, Dombivli CETP had problem in getting the final results. Maharashtra Pollution Control Board had asked them to improve the performance. They approached us. We have replaced the existing Aerators by our ENERGY EFFICIENT AERATORS. They got the required results.

6) M/s. GUJARAT INSECTICIDES LTD., - ANKLESHWAR, we were pleased to share our major experience where we have replaced their existing 20HP AERATOR + 10HP DIFFUSED AERATION SYSTEM installed in their AERATION TANK, by ONLY 12.5HP "ENVIRON" ENERGY EFFICIENT AERATOR.

7) We have also submitted our Energy Auditing Report to M/s. Ballarpur Industries Ltd., CHANDRAPUR which is under process and the order is also under finalization. We have suggested 12 Nos. of 25HP “ENVIRON” make AERATORS instead of 12 Nos. of 50HP AERATORS. Thus, they will be saving of Total Energy 300 HP.

8) We have manufactured, supplied & installed our ETP Equipments at BADLI & WAZIRPUR PROJECT (CETP), NEW DELHI. They are quite satisfied with the Equipments and given the Certificate for good working of Equipments.

For your kind information, M/s. AUROBINDO PHARMA LTD., has given us the orders for ETP Equipments for ALL THEIR 20 NOS. of Plants, throughout the ANDHRA PRADESH.

ENVIRON has studied and carried out a Report on ENERGY SAVING in SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT/ COMMON EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT, wherein they have found a heavy scope of ENERGY SAVING in STP’s/ CETP’s. On studying one of the STP of Municipal Corporation having 16 Nos. of 50 HP AERATORS installed can be replaced by our 16 Nos. of 30HP AERATORS offering the GUARANTEED RESULTS as per the Norms of PCB, 40% ENERGY SAVING i.e. Total 320 HP with the Total CAPITAL INVESTMENT COST of Rupees only 70 to 75 Lacs & MONETARY SAVING of Approx. Rs.1,05,00,000/- per year & PAYBACK period of only 8 months only.

Presently, ENVIRON ARE SUPPLYING 40 HP ENERGY EFFICIENT AERATORS TO VAPI COMMON EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT, WHERE THEY ARE REPLACING THE EXSISTING DISC TYPE DIFFUSERS IN THEIR PLANT. THE AERATION TANK DEPTH IS 4 MT.SWD.
